Delayed versions of Hogwarts Legacy for PS4 and Xbox One have been delayed again

Although the PS4 and Xbox One versions were originally scheduled to release for Hogwarts Legacy in April, the game’s official Twitter account has stated that the developers have had to push it back another month. The reason for this pushback is the fact that the team needs more time to adjust its performance with these systems, especially since there have been some issues with PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

According to the Twitter post, gamers can expect the PS4 and Xbox One releases on May 5, 2023 barring other issues. However, some fans on the forums are wondering if Avalanche Software should release these versions at all since it’s already late in the game. Others believe these systems can’t handle the high performance rate of Hogwarts Legacy, so they should nip it in the bud to focus on future updates or DLCs.

Those who have got their hands on the game are suggesting that the developers should fix the bugs and errors that are currently causing problems for players instead of working on the past few generations. For example, many have found issues with the Field Guide Pages and side quests preventing them from completing the entire storyline for trophies and achievements.

Luckily, WB Games has consistently responded to fans and offered temporary fixes while they fix the numerous issues. It’s also not explicitly stated if the Nintendo Switch version will also be delayed, but there have been no reports on that front.

For now, we can hope that there are no future setbacks for PS4 and Xbox One users, as well as fixes for current players that could make the experience more magical.
