Unhappy with one of Lala Kent’s recent Instagram stories, fans took to social media to call out the ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star. On April 4, the mother-of-one shared a boomerang about her kitchen on Instagram.
Kent’s video showed a pan on the stove filled with what appeared to be diced tomatoes sizzling. It wasn’t the video that angered fans, however, but the Bravo star’s caption, which read, “I’ll make all men with these cooking skills happy,” along with a tongue emoji.
She also wrote, “Chef Adam Greenberg would be proud,” referencing the Food Network star. Fans were quick to call out Kent for her caption, saying she shouldn’t learn to cook to please a future partner.

Kent was called out for the caption, with some saying it upset them
A screenshot from Kent’s Instagram story was shared on Reddit and the Bravo star was quickly tapped out for her caption. “She needs to learn how to cook for her BABY,” one wrote. “Not for just any guy.” Another person agreed: “Why does she only exist to please men? How about you just live for yourself Lauren and worry about your baby lol.”
One Redditor criticized Bravolebrity: “Lala doesn’t know how to live life as a truly independent woman. She’s pretending to be one right now, but she’s really just looking for her next man to take care of her.” Another said, “The ‘making all men happy’ headline really pisses me off.”
One person slammed the star: “How desperate can you sound girls.” One commenter wrote, “Why not be thrilled that you can make yourself happy by cooking yourself? or – and I know this is crazy, but stay here with me – for your CHILD?”
Comments continued on the same theme, with one slamming Kent, “We’re better than that as women.” Another wrote, “There’s a lot of Pick Me vibes.” One commented, “That’s the caption for me ! Wtf.”
While many “Vanderpump Rules” fans slammed her caption, others trolled the star for what she appeared to be cooking up. “That looks like a battle meal,” someone said. “So she can use a can opener and turn on a stove,” one person pointed out. “Also, I’m pretty sure this is Ro-Tel lmao only,” wrote another.
A few people brought up a moment on the show when she was receiving instructions on how to serve chips and dip from her maid. One of the comments read, “She couldn’t even pour chips and dip them into bowls to serve without her maid leaving her detailed instructions and labeling which bowl the chips went in.” Another person brought up the same moment, writing: “Okay, last season we watched her follow instructions on which (labeled) bowl to use for chips when Ariana visited.”
Kent revealed earlier this year that she was learning to cook for herself
A few months ago, Kent shared in an interview women health that she had turned to a wellness routine that involved learning to cook. She said with so many changes going on in her life with the birth of her baby Ocean and her split from Ocean’s father, it’s important to focus on clearing her mind.
Along with a regular exercise routine and breathing exercises, Kent revealed that she was learning to cook healthy foods. Describing her diet, the outlet wrote what she typically eats for breakfast and lunch, then added, “She has recently started cooking for herself – healthy meals consisting of a lean protein (like fish or chicken), a carbohydrate (like brown rice). , and a vegetable (like spinach or yams) — and really enjoyed the delicious results.
The ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star told the publication, “I made the best chicken with goat cheese and cranberries the other night.”
