The Walking Dead: Fates is another game that looks so bad that you really have to see it to believe it. There’s a certain hustle and bustle that makes the bad game sommelier in me smile with satisfaction. That said, I’m adding a bunch of social media posts below because sometimes you have to see it to believe it, and in the end you’re definitely on the side of the zombies.

Let’s start with that wonderful, jerky death.
Apparently all of the cutscenes in the game are actually just static, which is just nice. It’s like looking at the strangest comic book in the world.
These static cutscenes lead to some pretty incredible moments, like this one where protagonist Rick Grimes cries, which the style does absolutely no favors for.
A choice-oriented action-adventure game, The Walking Dead: Fates allows players to play through and rewrite the first four seasons of the series. The game was released on November 17th and has an incredible user score of 3.5 on Metacritic. There don’t seem to be any critical reviews available, and honestly that makes sense.
2023 has been a particularly strange year for gaming. While some absolute bangers have been released, such as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 And Sea of starsreleased a lot of truly inferior games that tie into larger franchises, drawing critical ire and ridicule from the general community.

Published by Image, The walking dead became a multimedia sensation and the TV show attracted a large fan base. However, over the years there have been some doubts about the quality of things The walking dead is more, and fates feels like another mark against the franchise.
