Destiny 2’s latest Lightfall trailer features neon-soaked Neomuna, tank, and grappling hook action

This place looks AMAZING!

Finally, Bungie has shared an in-game look at the brand new Neptune objective for the upcoming Lightfall DLC for Destiny 2. In the trailer we see Calus in his “spatial” form talking about the gameplay and our guardians walking through the colorful city of Neomuna.

Throughout the life of Destiny 2 and the franchise in general, we have never been able to explore the new colorful and lively city of Neomuna, which is a full portrayal in the new trailer.

In previous DLCs, we could only venture into wrecked ships and worlds where the environment was tattered and lifeless. On the other hand, Neomuna and Lightfall as a whole is a whole different story. Everything is so bright and vibrant it almost feels like it couldn’t be Destiny DLC.

Destiny 2 has dabbled in these neon-like areas before, as we traveled to the Vex network in Season of the Splicer, where it was also lively and very saturated. Speaking of the Vex Network, we also get a glimpse of it in the trailer, which suggests we might revisit it in Season 21.

Anyway, Neomuna looks to be Destiny’s best target yet, and we can imagine there are plenty of secrets for Wardens to discover. Hopefully we can actually spend more than a season researching it as not using it for more than just the DLC (cough cough, Throneworld) would be such a waste.
