Much more information has surfaced on why Leah Messer and Jaylan Mobley suddenly split Ashley’s reality summary.
More details about the cheating allegations have now emerged, as well as an explanation for Messer staying behind at the home they once shared. And there’s a lot more to the story than that Mobley might have been unfaithful.
So why was Messer so calm about the situation? They signed a non-disclosure agreement, an insider told The Ashley.
“He did everything he could to stop Leah from going public with the story,” a source told The Ashely. “Jaylan does Not I want the whole story to come out.”
Messer told MTV producers that she couldn’t talk about the breakup because she was legally gagged.
“She filmed about the breakup a couple of times, once with a friend and once with Jaylan, but the only thing Leah was allowed to say on camera was that she signed an NDA and couldn’t really talk about it,” she said Source The Ashley, who confirmed with another source that Messer spoke on MTV during filming.
Why Messer got the house even though it’s in Mobley’s name
The situation surrounding the $500,000 West Virginia home has been confusing for fans ever since they received it. Mobley said on Instagram that he bought the house for Messer, but in touch weekly confirmed that the house was in Mobley’s name only.
“He agreed to sign over the house on the condition that Leah sign a non-disclosure agreement and not discuss the reason for their split,” a source told The Ashley. “As long as Leah agrees to keep it a secret, legally it will all boil down to her having the house in her name only.”
Why would anyone agree to this deal? The house was never a surprise the way Mobley “presented” it, a source told The Ashley. Messer did put money into the home for a down payment, but it had to be in Mobley’s name because she owed more than $450,000 in back taxes, as The sun and Ashley’s reality summary previously reported.
Messer needs to get her taxes in order
In order for Messer to get the house in her name, she has to pay her tax debts.
“His name will still be on the deed until she can refinance the house in her name alone, but she needs to take care of her tax debt before she can do that,” the source told The Ashley’s Reality Roundup. “Once she does that, she can ditch his name. It was all part of the agreement they made and it was done legally through a lawyer.”
That doesn’t mean Messer will pay Mobley for the house. The source said Messer will pay the bank directly, the source told The Ashley’s Reality Roundup.
Though Messer has remained silent about the reason for the breakup, she did cast a subtle shade at her ex when posting a TikTok. She asked her friends to film themselves taking a plate from her ex, and let’s just say they didn’t do it kindly.
“That’s enough 🎬🤣,” Messer wrote as a caption.
