Were Liz Sheridan and James Dean Dating?

Yes, Liz and James dated for a year in 1952.

She claimed in her memoir that they were romantically involved and enjoyed their short-lived relationship.

The actress met Dean while working as a dancer in the Big Apple’s nightclubs. While she was 23 at the time, Dean was 20.

In conversation with PEOPLE In 1996, Liz recalled her romance with Dean as “just magical. It was first love for both of us.”

Liz played the role of Helen Seinfeld in the sitcom His field. She was Jerry Seinfeld’s overprotective mother.

The late star appeared in 21 episodes of the hit series from 1990 to 1998.

When Liz’s TV son and comedian Jerry heard the news of her death, he paid tribute to her on Twitter.

Along with a black and white photo of Liz, Jerry wrote: “Liz has always been the sweetest, kindest TV mom a son could wish for. Every time she came to our show, it was the most comfortable feeling for me. So lucky to have known her.”

Fans remember the late star

Liz’s fans took to Twitter to express their condolences after learning of her death.

She died of natural causes at 2:30 a.m. on Friday (April 15), reports TMZ.

A fan tweeted: “I know there will be a lot of laughter in #heaven tonight. #RIPLizSheridan. Thank you for the many years in #art and for so many #laughs.”

“I feel like I’ve known Liz Sheridan for as long as I’ve known characters on TV. I’ve always loved seeing her,” called Another.
