Will Smith slammed Chris after the comedian made a comment about Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair. He joked that her hair could make her a part of the GI Jane sequel.
A few years ago, Jada opened up about her alopecia diagnosis. It’s an autoimmune disease that causes hair loss.
As a result, the actress has sported a shaved look for some time and Chris’ comment about her looks angered Will, leading to him acting in front of the whole world this week.
Actor apologizes via IG post
In his latest Instagram post, Will he apologized to Chris and everyone else for his “unacceptable” behavior at this year’s event.
“My behavior at the Oscars last night was unacceptable and inexcusable. Jokes at my expense are part of the job, but a joke about Jada’s health was too much for me and I reacted emotionally,” he wrote.
“I want to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I’m embarrassed and my actions were no indication of the man I want to be. In a world of love and kindness there is no place for violence. “
