Music in a movie or TV show can often make or break the final product as the songs used can add the right emotion to a given scene or character.

For HBO Max’s new release, Peacemaker, music certainly plays a role, from the surprising opening dance music to the catchy rock ‘n’ roll tracks throughout.

Peacemaker release date and plot

Peacemaker hit HBO Max in the US on Thursday, January 13, 2022.

Written and primarily directed by James Gunn, the series continues the story of Christopher Smith, aka Peacemaker, following his near-death experience during the events of Suicide Squad.

With his pet eagle back by his side, Peacemaker is recruited for a new mission called the butterfly project, which sees John Cena’s anti-hero face more metahumans and even has Possibly aliens.

As with most projects led by James Gunn, music is key throughout Peacemaker as it helps emphasize the action while also giving us hints about the personalities of certain characters.
