How to slide in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The more you play this game and expand the valley the harder you will find that it can be quite difficult to get around. The only way out is to walk or run, but even walking can be slow at times. Thankfully, Gameloft created an easier way to get around in the Pride of the Valley update.

Learning to glide is fairly easy, but it’s easy to overlook. The first step to gliding is to feel full. This means you have just eaten a cooked meal. You can tell if you’ve received this buff by looking at your energy bar in the top-left corner of your screen. Normally this bar is blue, but when you eat cooked meals it is covered by a yellow bar. This gives you extra stamina, but can also allow you to slide through the valley.

To slide, hold Shift while running. You’ll see yourself settle into a balanced surfer position as you begin to slide across the floor with a sparkling blue trail beneath you. Sprinting around like this will allow you to traverse the valley much faster. But be warned, as it will eat up the yellow bar. Once the yellow disappears, you won’t be able to slide again until you eat another cooked meal.

Raw food won’t do it, only cooked food will work. This new feature makes cooking meals a much more rewarding chore, so make sure you stock up if you plan on venturing further afield. Learn to slide in Disney Dreamlight Valley is difficult to discover at first, but easy to understand.
