Doja wrote: “I wanted you to hear it from me first. Unfortunately, I need to have an operation on my tonsils as soon as possible. The surgery is routine, but recovery will take time due to the swelling. This means I have to cancel my festival run this summer as well as The Weeknd tour.”

When does the Weeknd Tour take place?

The Weeknd’s North American tour was scheduled to begin on July 8th. The singer was ready to host this event last year, but due to COVID, things had to change.

Nonetheless, fans were excited when The Weeknd announced that Doja Cat would be joining him for the North American concerts. There were 18 in total. Now that the singer is unable to perform, The Weeknd may or may not bring in a replacement.
