Dramatic moment a container filled with garbage scratches the car

That’s the dramatic moment when a dumpster fell on a car parked in a driveway and just towed it away.

The horror moment was captured on the family’s home video camera as they revealed the incident had caused them so much “stress”.

Rehana Nazim watched in horror as a container crashed onto her blue VW Golf as it was being moved from her home in Slough last month.

The 57-year-old spoke to the truck driver when the container was picked up at the front door.

It was full of wood and plastic after work on her home in Slough, Berkshire.

The mother points to the container while talking to the collector before parting ways.

After speaking to homeowners, the skip truck driver, for unknown reasons, removed one of the chains holding the skip truck to the ground, causing it to tip over as he attempted to lift it.

Since the chains were only attached to one side of the trough, it fell sideways onto the station wagon’s front fender when it was lifted by the truck.

The family is then seen rushing out of the house as they watch in alarm at what is unfolding before their eyes.

Garbage can also be thrown out in the immediate vicinity of the vehicle.

And most frighteningly, the edge of the container scrapes the side of the paintwork as the family watches in complete shock.

Two family members then go to the front of the house and point to the car and the overturned container while the collector gets out to survey and inspect the damage to their car.

The horror moment was captured on the family’s ring security cameras.

Pictures show the extent of the damage caused by the trough as the taillights are deeply scratched and the front left side has white scratches all over.

The side of the vehicle also has a large dent from the container impact.

Son Shayan Nazim, 36, said of the incident: “It’s shocking to see.

“It caused so much stress.”

The family ordered the container from Quick Skip Hire, based in West Drayton, West London.

He said they had an offer for the repair which came to £3,000.

But luckily for the family, Shayan claims the company has admitted it made a mistake.

However, they are already waiting a month for the matter to be resolved after it happened on January 23.

He claimed: “The way the company was dealt with was absolutely terrible.

“We were in contact with the management.

“They stuck to that.

“They said they would fix it, the driver had made a mistake.

“We then got a quote for the repair and submitted it to the company.”

Shayan claims there was disagreement at the time as to what damage was caused.

He said he and his mother then took it to their insurance company.

Mick Hughes, General Manager of Quick Skip Hire, said: “We are aware of the incident and the matter is currently in the hands of our insurance company.

“Who asked that we not comment further at this time.”
