Dramatic moment plane creates emergency landing on busy highway before plunging into flames
California motorists faced an additional driving challenge when a small plane crashed on the highway Tuesday afternoon.
There were no injuries reported by the California Highway Patrol when the plane landed on Highway 91 in Riverside County at 12:31 p.m., according to KTLA.
Video shows the single-engine plane wobbling as it flew lower and lower until it landed on the highway, skidding to the side of the road as it caught fire.

Witness Edward Pajardo said: “Surprisingly no one else was injured.
“The pilot claimed to have experienced possible engine failure on final landing at Corona City Airport,” said CHP Captain Levi Miller, KTLA reported.
Police said the plane crashed into a truck carrying three people, but no one was injured.

Pilot Andrew Cho said his plane lost power leading to the decision to make an emergency landing on the highway.
“It’s like a hard bump. Hard to describe,” Cho said. “We were 4-5 feet in the air when the plane came to a complete standstill and hit the ground.”

Cho said he relied on his training when landing the plane.
“Your training begins, and you do the right thing. As long as you don’t panic, you’ll get the best results,” Cho said.
