Dugald River Mine: Two Queensland miners are missing as new details emerge about how the incident unfolded

There are desperate fears for two workers after a 30-ton drill rig plunged 25 meters into the pit of a remote Queensland mine.
Workers were reportedly trapped in an adit – a hole used to extract minerals from the mine – at the Dugald River mine, some 70 kilometers from Cloncurry in the northwest state, after a drill rig fell into the mine pit on Wednesday morning .
Part of the work box is understood to have been discovered in the rubble at the bottom of the pit after the vehicle partially fell into the strut during the incident, ABC reports.
Workers who first spotted the ute while helping the driller – who was injured but survived the incident – are believed to have tried to radio the missing miners.
Police and rescue workers were called to the scene around 1:05 p.m.
