However, it meant something slightly different today. Instead of bringing home gold-encrusted belts, he starred in movies that broke streaming records. Currently, Johnson is starring in two films that are crushing the competition.

Dwayne Johnson teamed up with Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds for Red Notice. That film Breaking streaming records on Netflix and cleaning at the box office. In addition, Johnson co-starred with Emily Blunt in the movie Jungle Cruise. That family-friendly action-adventure topped the Disney+ charts. Jungle Cruise also did well in theaters.

We all know that Dwayne Johnson is a big draw for movies. His legion of fans are always eager to see his next movie work. Likewise, Johnson knows that his fans are the ones who allow him to do all the things he does. So with two movies topping two different streaming services, The Rock took to Instagram to thank the people who made it all possible.

Dwayne Johnson used a screenshot of a Diversity articles about Red Notice and Jungle Cruise shared Nielsen’s list of the top 10 SVOD movies for the second week of November to take the scores home. In the post’s caption, The Rock began by thanking his fans across the globe. “Thank you all over the world for this crazy support,” he wrote before revealing yet another impressive milestone.

“On Disney+ and Netflix streaming services – both Jungle Cruise and Red Notice watched 2 MILLION MINUTES in ONE WEEK,” he announced. That number is hard to wrap your head around. However, it all comes down to the fact that people have seen those movies millions of times.

What these numbers mean for Dwayne Johnson

Obviously, Dwayne Johnson is excited to see her film attract such an audience. However, he’s not just excited that people are enjoying his work. Instead, he and Seven Bucks Productions are looking at these numbers and planning for the future.

The entertainment industry is changing due to the pandemic. Some movies are dropping out of theaters and moving to streaming platforms or releasing both at the same time. Many fear that this will hurt the industry. However, it doesn’t break The Rock’s stride.

Dwayne Johnson says this is “an amazing time in our business to learn from and listen to our consumers like never before.” That’s just what he and the production company plan to do in the near future. So it looks like streaming – and millions of fans – can look forward to seeing more of The Rock in the years to come.
