DWTS alum is making a big life change after divorce

A DWTS graduate takes a step after divorce.

Former Dancing With the Stars competitor Jana Kramer is taking a big step just over a year after splitting from ex-husband Mike Caussin.

The mother-of-two revealed that she and her children are preparing to move out of the home they all once lived in as a family of four.

“A new chapter is coming. Our sacred space. I remember sitting in my living room last summer and tugging at my heart that I had to part with the house we were building,” she said captioned an Instagram post on January 16, 2023.

Kramer went on to say that no matter what she tried to make her old home “new,” it still held “memories” she “didn’t want to see.” Now she shares a little about her decision to move on.

Kramer shared photos of an empty lot that she visited with her two children, Jolie, 6, and Jace, 4.

“After hours and many days of sitting at the top of the hill asking for clarity and signs and talking to the kids about it, we bought the property,” her caption read. She added that whenever possible, she involves her children in making this new place her own.

“I can’t wait for this new sacred space of new beginnings that will be filled with love and FAMILY,” she wrote.

On January 16, 2023, Episode of the podcast “Whine Down”., Kramer talked a bit more about her new home. Kramer hasn’t sold her old home yet, but said she made the decision that she would have to move in September 2022.

“I just want new memories and new beginnings,” Kramer said. She said she didn’t tell many people because she needed some time to “process” the decision. Now, however, she’s ready to move on, and while she admits it’s “scary,” she hopes this fresh start will be just what she needs.

Kramer is not only building a new home, but has also found a new man. On January 9, 2023, Episode of the podcast “Whine Down”.Kramer revealed that she is in a relationship with an athlete who lives abroad.

“I don’t know if this is my person forever. I will accept. I will have fun. And if it doesn’t work out, you know what, I’ll learn a lot of lessons. And I had a lot of fun doing it,” she said.

Kramer and her boyfriend do the long-distance thing and make it work for the time being.

“It just feels different,” she said on her podcast. “We try not to see each other for more than three weeks. …It’s going to be tough. I’ve never driven long distances. But again, I just enjoy being happy,” she added.

Kramer isn’t quite ready to go public with the relationship just yet.
