A “Dancing with the Stars” alum has strayed far from the ABC ballroom, where she has completed many seasons as both a pro dancer and a judge.

Julianne Hough, who won back-to-back seasons of the celebrity ballroom competition in 2007, recently left the Los Angeles area to start a new chapter in New York City.

Amid her divorce from Brooks Laich earlier this year, Hough recently relocated to the Big Apple to make her Broadway debut on the show POTUS, which runs April 14-August 14, 2022 at the Shubert Theater. according to entertainment tonight.

In a photo shared on her Instagram page, Hough gave fans a sneak peek at her new digs. The 33-year-old two-time mirrorball champion sat in her new spot on the hardwood floors while a fire roared in the fireplace and a coffee mug full of wine sat in front of her. A white cupboard kitchen could be seen in the background of the empty house.

“Living in NYC,” she captioned the post. “First night in my house I had to get a locksmith at 2am, no furniture, drank my wine @fresh wine from my one coffee cup and loving every minute! This is where I reflect on my life and this next chapter.”

“The cool thing is that I’ve been so blessed to be living the life of my dreams, to have family, friends old and new in my life supporting one another, and a new sense of wonder in my eyes and heart This empty house feels completely full!” she added.

Hough took to her Instagram story as she revealed she’s made things work in her unfurnished apartment.

“If you still don’t have any furniture,” she wrote, after people. “This is the spot on the floor where I eat my breakfast, listen to music, and sip my own wine from my single coffee mug.”

“‘New beginnings’ was a phrase I heard a lot … from some new friends who welcomed me into their homes for Easter,” she added. “If I really think about it all … I have everything I need in this empty house.”

According to the New York Post, Hough signed a $18,000-per-month lease to rent the triplex townhouse. The outlet noted that a listing for the townhouse described the “beautifully preserved and restored turn-of-the-century craftsmanship, original detailed hardwood floors, living room fireplace, 12-foot ceilings,” and more.

The Greenwich Village townhouse near the famous Washington Square Park was on the market for just 21 days before Hough snapped it up.


Hough rents out her house in LA

Hough owns a home in Hollywood Hills, California that she bought in 2014 for $2 million. According to The Dirtthe dancer and actress has listed her California home for rent at $40,000 a month while she spends at least the next four months in New York.

Hough’s Cape Cod style, renovated Los Angeles home features three bedrooms and four bathrooms with modern conveniences such as remote controlled lights, an integrated Sonos system and an electric vehicle charging station. per Architectural Digest.

Also, unlike Hough’s NYC rental, the Hollywood Hills home comes fully furnished.
