Emma Slater has officially filed for divorce from Sasha Farber.

Dancing With the Stars professional dancer Emma Slater has officially filed for divorce from professional dancer Sasha Farber nearly a year after their split.

According to court records received from The Blast, later cited “irreconcilable differences” and does not intend to pay spousal support. The filing calls for the “amicable resolution of all ownership issues.”

The outlet reports that the couple’s divorce is likely to be finalized quickly.

The professional dancers of “Dancing With the Stars” officially quit in August 2022.

“They have been separated for many months now,” a source told Us Weekly at the time. “Both did not wear their wedding rings and each lead a single life.”

The source said it was a difficult decision for the couple.

“It’s been a difficult time as they really care about each other and have been together for so long,” the source told the outlet.

Farber and Slater began dating in 2011, but split briefly in 2014. They got engaged in 2016 and tied the knot in 2018.

Although no one has publicly commented on their split at the time of writing, Slater said the two would be “friends for life.”

Following the Monday, October 17, 2022 episode of “Dancing With the Stars” Season 31, when Farber and his partner Selma Blair left the competition, Slater left live on Instagram and shared some behind-the-scenes information from the press line.

She also shared exactly how she felt about Blair and Farber having to leave the competition, calling them the “true champions of the night.”

“To see her leaving the competition so early is sad, but it’s 100% the right thing,” Slater said at the time. “And she just exceeded all possible expectations. She got 40 from the judges, standing ovation and she is an absolute goddess. I think her and Sasha together are the perfect team. He got on so well with her and I’m sure we’re all friends for life.”

Fans recently begged for the 2 to get back together

Fans had hoped the two dancers wouldn’t get back together until February 2023.

“Naughty Samba!” Farber wrote captioning a video of the couple in February, which showed him and Slater dancing in pink outfits during a recent “Dancing With the Stars” live tour date. Many fans took to the comments to say that they would love it if the two at least started dating again.

“I know you had a reason, but I wish you were still married.” a comment reads.

Many others shared that they were happy the couple remained friends, while others pleaded with the two get back together.

Farber did make a post on Valentine’s Day, but it would certainly clarify his relationship status.

“Happy Valentine’s Day to all the ladies out there!!!!! I cook, I clean, and yes, ladies, I take out the trash,” Farber said titled the post. In the photo he is pushing a wastebasket.

Daning With the Stars is slated to return to Disney+ in fall 2023.
