The Philadelphia Eagles have placed tight reserve Jaeden Graham on the injured substitute. The 6-foot-4, 250-pounder mean move is out during the year after only a week on the team. It also opens a position in the list.
In recent days, Graham has had writing on the wall. He had been predicted to compete for a spot after the starting Dallas Goedert, after which the Eagles fired Richard Rodgers off the PUP roster. Depth has been an issue at the tight end this summer, especially with rookie Grant Calcaterra sidelined with a hamstring injury. Tyree Jackson is still on the PUP list, with JJ Arcega-Whiteside, Jack Stoll and Noah Togiai vying for jobs.
Graham was originally signed in 2018 as an unbuilt freelance agent by the Atlanta Falcons. He appeared in 32 games over two seasons while making 12 catches from 174 yards and one touchdown. He is a key contributor to the Falcons special team units.

Stoll took his chance
Stoll is entering his second season in Philly after a surprisingly big role in 2021. The untrained rookie from Nebraska has had a total of 545 arrests, including 331 fouls and capitals. at most one at a time. Stoll comes and does his job, mostly big body blocker in the running game. It was a role that he really enjoyed.
“Believe me, I’d rather win every game than go out and catch every game,” Stoll told reporters. “So as long as we keep winning the ball games, honestly, I couldn’t care more.”
Stoll was an occasional catcher, finishing with four tackles at 22 yards in 16 games. Does he want to see more targets? Sure. In fact, the 24-year-old spent his summer break working hard on his route.
“I think last year, I knew my niche was going to be blocked, and that’s how I was going to set up the team so that was my highlight,” Stoll said. “And, as a year went by, I realized that I could develop a little more catching. And, really, that’s what my focus is on this season and in the OTAs. I’m developing a switch that’s a bit faster after a break, and actually being a versatile tight finish is really the goal at the end of the day. “
