Creepy! EastEnders actor Richard Blackwood has revealed participating in Celebrity MasterChef has given him “nightmares”.

He told The Mirror: “You never thought cooking could turn into a nightmare, but it really does – it’s tough.

“You have sleepless nights and dream of dishes that you have made or want to make yourself. Whatever the food was, it wasn’t even edible. It was literally, you just can’t stop thinking about food.

“Preparing for MasterChef is like preparing for a quiz that asks general knowledge questions; They don’t know where they’re going.

“No matter how much you study geography or history, you could go there, well, the specialty is horror movies.”

“John and Gregg will be delighted, as will our viewers.”

Sarah Clay, Editor-in-Chief of the BBC, added: “This line-up will cement Celebrity MasterChef as one of the country’s most popular cooking programmes, with lots of laughs and stiff competition guaranteed.

“The level of cooking is amazing this year and you can really see how much it means to all of them.”

Kadeena Cox, MBE, was crowned the Celebrity MasterChef 2021 champion when she was victorious over Joe Swash and Megan McKenna in the finals.

Celebrity MasterChef, produced by Shine TV, is currently airing on BBC One.
