Eddie Gray spoke to him Daily mail on a range of subjects in Leeds including Jesse Marsch, Marcelo Bielsa and Elland Road.
Interestingly, the 74-year-old shared his thoughts on the American, having recently met him at a fundraiser on Elland Road.
What’s the matter?
Well, Gray is a big Marsch fan and actually believes Andrea Radrizzani made the right decision in sacking Marcelo Bielsa.
The Leeds icon said: “The club did the right thing. So far, Jesse has done very well. When you come in and communicate with the players, you get their respect and everything runs smoothly. Don (Revie) was like that.
“He bought into the club. I met him at a fundraiser at Elland Road and he really appreciates the opportunity and what it means to the people of Leeds that the club play in the Premier League.”
In our view, Gray is right.
At the time we felt it was the wrong decision to sack Bielsa, although it’s now perfectly clear that the Argentine’s tactical stubbornness would bring Leeds down.
A softness remains behind under Marsch, although chances are regularly created and the goals are already flowing.

As you can see, Leeds have already caused plenty of problems for opponents under the former RB Leipzig boss – apart from that nightmarish performance against Aston Villa, of course.
Eddie Gray wants Leeds to move under Jesse Marsch
Praising Marsch wasn’t all Gray did when speaking to him Daily mail.
The former Leeds player – and manager – urged Radrizzani to increase the size of Elland Road, claiming 38,000 seats is not enough.
Gray even exclaimed that Leeds could regularly attract enough supporters to double that number.
He said: “Lately the atmosphere at Elland Road has been as good as it has ever been. You need to increase the stadium because 38,000 is not enough. You could fill twice.”
Whether Leeds will bow to his request and build a new 80,000-seat stadium remains to be seen, but Gray makes a good point nonetheless.
Hopefully Gray is right about Marsch and his approach will take Leeds back to their glory days.
