Eddie Howe has spoken in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Premier League clash between Newcastle and Norwich tomorrow.
Interestingly, the 44-year-old revealed he wasn’t too happy about something that happened after Wednesday’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.
What’s the matter?
Well, Howe was asked for his opinion on the team photo that appeared in the dressing room at St James’ Park after Wednesday’s win.
It featured co-owners Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi celebrating with the players as the 40-point mark was somehow reached.
While the image depicts a close-knit group, Howe said he would have preferred the photo not been leaked to mainstream media.
As quoted by Football every day, the Magpies boss said: “Ideally, it wouldn’t happen. It’s not really something I wanted to put out, but of course it did. We don’t really do it for any reason other than for the players.”
In our view, we see no problem with these images being leaked.
All it shows is that Newcastle are a united team, all pulling in the same direction.
Newcastle thrive under Eddie Howe
To be honest we don’t recall seeing anything like this when Steve Bruce was in charge – we’ve hardly seen a smile on Tyneside in that time.
However, things are now looking extremely bright and rosy against Newcastle.
Howe has worked hard to not only improve results but completely transform the club’s culture and there is now a strong sense of family at the Magpies.
Doing this in just a few months is by no means easy, and it’s a testament to Howe’s coaching skills as well as his people skills.
