Egyptian-style restaurant opens in Lancaster County

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. (WHTM) — A new Middle Eastern Egyptian-style restaurant called Koshary Station is officially opening its doors in Millersville next week.
The new Koshary Station is owned and operated by a couple named Radwa Matar and Mohamed Ibrahim. According to Radwa, she grew up in Egypt before moving to the United States 16 years ago.
Radwa initially lived in Lancaster City before moving to the Millersville area three years ago.
As of 2021, Radwa has been sharing her Egyptian-style cuisine with local communities across Lancaster County through various farmers markets, flea markets, parades and her private catering business.
In particular, Radwa’s creations were served here:
- estate market
- Litz Farmer’s Market
- Millersville Parade
On August 20, 2022, Radwa secured a restaurant location at 4 S. Prince Street in Millersville, Lancaster County, the new space can seat up to 22 people at a time.
The unique Egyptian-style menu offers a variety of options, including Radwa’s specialty called Koshary, a mix of pasta, rice, lentils and chickpeas, topped with homemade spiced tomato sauce and caramelized onions. According to Radwa, this dish inspired the name of her and her husband’s future restaurant.

“[Cooking] is my hobby, my husband and I have always dreamed of opening our own restaurant,” said Radwa.
Once opened, Koshary Station’s operating hours will be as follows:
- Monday – Saturday //11 a.m. to 8 p.m
The Koshary Station is scheduled to be inaugurated next Monday, February 27th.
