Well, if anyone is really wondering if Elijah Moore can afford to be the true No. 1 wide recordist for the New York Jets, that talk was officially launched this week.
The second year expansion just turned 22 last week and is underway in the Miami area. In his spare time, Moore relaxes on the beach and ride with the fans.
While it’s clear, waves aren’t the only thing he’s caught this week.

You must be kidding me
Moore posted recently on Instagram, a crazy one-handed catch he did on the beach.
Former Miss Ole was in some tight privacy coverage but was able to soar into the sky to come down with a ludicrous reception.
A lot of people criticized Moore’s size (5 feet-10, 178 pounds) but his dance moves were shown on full display in this viral clip.
He is ‘above the belt’ as scouts like to say and uses his left hand to catch. After securing a well-deserved spot in the SportsCenter’s top 10, Moore began to smile in celebration, and performed a somersault into the water.
Actual fan reaction
While the game was certainly good and left many mouths open, that wasn’t the first reaction of a lot of Jets fans.
After all the injuries suffered by the Jets last year, it’s natural for fans to worry when players from their favorite team are putting themselves in jeopardy.
That’s especially true when you consider Moore missed six games last season through injury. Despite the missed time, he showed enough glimpses to get fans excited about the 2022 season:
- 43 receptions
- 538 yards
- A total of six hits
The top three wide holes of green and white are identical to the aforementioned Corey Davis, Braxton Berrios and Moore. The Jets aren’t happy with that trio, though, over the course of this season they’ve sniffed out some serious potential upgrades at the location.
Just because they haven’t hit it yet, that doesn’t mean the hunt is over.
ESPN’s Rich Cimini was on The Michael Kay Show this week and talkative“The Jets are trying to make another big splash for a wide receiver” based on conversations he’s had at NFL owner meetings.
If you’re wondering which wide receiver is going to trade next and possibly the Jets target, keep an eye out for the Seattle Seahawks’ DK Metcalf wide receiver.
While they have said publicly that they have every intention keep him long as he enters the final year of his rookie contract, which is exactly what they said before selling Russell Wilson.
The Jets placed a commercial call with the Seahawks, but Seattle said he was not available. Though in what has become the craziest NFL season of all time, you can never say never.
There are some interesting tidbits from The appearance of Cimini on TMKS.
The Jets are of course interested in Seattle’s talented recipient if and when he is present.
While the amount can be exorbitantly expensive, Cimini says a new contract will pay him “at least $25 million per season.” That number would at least make him the fourth-highest earner in football, behind only Tyreek Hill ($30 million per year), Davante Adams ($28 million per year) and DeAndre Hopkins (27, $25 million per year).
