She told The Mirror: “My anxiety just disappeared from the list. It felt like it had reached new heights of panic and fear.

“When you haven’t had a panic attack, it’s so hard to describe and explain, but it’s just so overwhelming…

“It’s kind of a survival mechanism for you and your child. You want to survive as much as possible for them and you want them to survive too, so you kind of fight for both of you. That is much.

She added that “cuddling and hanging out with” her son alleviates her problems and said the joy her offspring bring her is “extraordinary.”

Ellie recently spoke about becoming a mother, admitting that it “took over everything” in her life after giving birth in April 2021.

The notoriously private singer detailed the lifestyle change speaking to Ferne Cotton ahead of an intimate performance at The Biltmore, Mayfair for the Hilton Secret Socials this summer.

“Motherhood took over everything, it influenced everything,” she explained to Ferne.

Noting some sleepless nights, Ellie continued, “Obviously the first thing you want is just to be with your baby all the time.

“And then it’s just this whole new world of emotion and insomnia, a combination of that,” she explained.

But despite the change in tempo, the Starry Eyed singer said the new chapter has given her more inspiration for music.

“I’ve managed to write a whole bunch of songs, actually it seems to have become even more natural,” Ellie explained.

She and husband Caspar married in a lavish ceremony at York Minster in August 2019, a year after announcing their engagement, and have been together since 2017.

The pair were first set up on a blind date by their mutual friend Princess Eugenie, and the art dealer popped the question over a jigsaw puzzle at their country home.

Educated at Eton and Harvard, her husband is the son of an aristocratic Yorkshire landowner and the nephew of art dealer Jay Joplin.
