Speaking in the latest issue of FourFourTwo Magazine (May 2022, page 29), Emile Smith Rowe spoke about the chant Arsenal fans have created for himself and Bukayo Saka.
The two young stars are among fan favorites in the Emirates these days and as you can imagine, the Arsenal fan base have created a brilliant song to serenade the couple.
In case you haven’t heard it, it’s the tune of Status Quo’s “Rockin All Over The World” and it’s absolutely brilliant.
Smith Rowe loves the song, and he says everyone always sings it in the dressing room, explaining that the vocals are usually led by Aaron Ramsdale, with the goaltender also serving as the Gunners’ resident DJ.
what was said
Smith Rowe spoke about his song and how Ramsdale has already become the ringleader in the dressing room.
“Everyone always sings it in the dressing room! And at away games, they always play it on the carriage. Aaron Ramsdale is the ringleader; He’s a DJ and it’s the first song he puts on after a game. Who knew there would be a song about us? It’s crazy. I had never heard it before,” Smith Rowe said.
While Saka and Smith Rowe’s vocals are absolutely brilliant, the best thing about Smith Rowe’s comments here is how comfortable Ramsdale already feels at Arsenal.
The goalkeeper only joined in the summer and moving to a big club after two consecutive relegations will have been a daunting task.
But he’s settled in really well, he’s a star on the pitch and it sounds like he’s already one of the club’s biggest characters behind the scenes.
Ramsdale seems to be loving life at Arsenal and it’s great to see.
