Eminem’s Mom’s Spaghetti transformed a lyrical genius into an entrepreneur

Could the real Slim Shady please stand up and bow? Rapper Eminem went from artist to entrepreneur after opening his restaurant, Mom’s Spaghetti. The pop-up’s name is inspired by his hit song “Lose Yourself.”.

Eminem (Marshall Bruce Mathers III) is a hit hip-hop artist who has dominated the charts since his musical debut in 1999.

It seems he lives a life away from the media most of the time. However, it has been reported that the American rapper is currently working on new music projects which are rumored to be released in 2022.

HITC explains the meaning behind Mom’s Spaghetti and how Eminem may have increased his fortune with the big company.

Mama’s Spaghetti: Copywriter to Entrepreneur

It’s normal for celebrities to use their influence and popularity to build businesses outside of their artistic careers.

Eminem helped cement his name in the showbiz space when he decided to share his story on the big screen. With his film 8 Mile, the rapper wanted to show how he really felt growing up in Detroit.

What made his semi-autobiographical film even more personal was the fact that its soundtrack featured original songs, including the hugely successful Lose Yourself.

Aside from remixing, what else can you do with such a successful song? A pop up restaurant. This is how Mom’s Spaghetti started business in 2017.

The inspiration came from the iconic lyrics in the song.

His palms are sweaty, his knees weak, his arms heavy,
There’s already vomit on his sweater, mom’s spaghetti

Is there anything better than affordable food, exclusive merchandise and a chance visit from Eminem himself? I do not think so.

Four years later, the icon decided to surprise fans for a limited time in Detroit with Mom’s Spaghetti pop-up restaurant.

Again, the pop-up didn’t need an explanation of what the restaurant would be serving during its opening. But yes, it was also vegan-friendly.

The rapper himself even stopped by to serve customers. A treat for customers ordering takeaway. He also wasn’t shy when it came to taking selfies with the real Slim Shady.

Earlier this year, a week before his big Super Bowl halftime gig, Eminem teamed up with Postmates to bring Mom’s Spaghetti to Los Angeles for Super Bowl weekend.

The success led to the star opening a permanent location for the restaurant in Detroit.
