In 1999, Will Smith and Eminem began an infamous feud, with the rap god writing some scathing lyrics about rap Fresh Prince of Bel Air star in his 2000 song, The real Slim Shady.

During the 1999 MTV VMAs Will’s Song Miami came out above and won the award for best male video Eminem’s hit track My name is.

Will took the opportunity to boast that he didn’t swear on any of his songs in order to make them a bigger hit.

Though the comment wasn’t clearly directed at Eminem, the Detroit native took it as one personal excavation.

The rapper shot back through a song in his own way.

In his 2000 hit The real Slim Shadythe musician tapped the line: “Will Smith doesn’t have to swear to sell records / Well I do / So fuck him. And fuck you too.”

However, that was just the beginning. In the music video for Em’s Forgot Dre Track, a drunk Eminem Will disses again and says “Yeah, all I know is I’m upstairs listening to my Will Smith CD and I’ve seen all those flames.”

Fans are joking about the rappers’ past beef after the 2022 Oscars

While Will Smith had some celebs in his corner after his incident at the 2022 Oscars, many criticized the actor’s actions.

Comedian and director Judd Apatow wrote in a now-deleted post: “It seems Will Smith’s plan to get comedians and the world to stop making jokes about him isn’t working out,” he tweeted. “The Williams family must be furious. Pure narcissism.”

Radio host Howard Stern expressed: “What you saw on TV was a guy with real problems. That’s crazy, that’s crazy when you can’t control yourself. … Chris Rock was just trying to make people laugh at the damn ceremony, which was so long and boring.”

Batman star Zoe Kravitz went to her IG and wrote: “Here’s a picture of my dress at the awards show where we seem to be attacking people on stage now.”
