In this picture released May 17, Erika Jayne attends the 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards: UNSCRIPTED in Los Angeles, California.

Many cast members from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” attended the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s 30th Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party Sunday night, one of the best-attended viewing parties on Oscar night.

The event was sponsored by Neuro Brands, LLC, the company of RHOBH newcomer Diana Jenkins, and among the Bravo stars in attendance were Erika Jayne, Sheree Zampino, Kathy Hilton, Dorit Kemsley, Kyle Richards, Garcelle Beauvais and Crystal Kung-Minkoff .

The Bravolebrities posted several photos of themselves and their stories to Instagram that night, but Jayne got some heat for a photo she posted earlier that night. She shared a close-up of her hair, makeup and jewelry for the event along with the simple caption “Oscars,” leading many fans to believe she was going to the Academy Awards herself, and crediting the misleading post criticized.

Fans were quick to comment on Jayne’s post, with many assuming she was going to the Oscars and criticizing her for it

It didn’t take long for fans to comment on Jayne’s post, titled “Oscars.” While many of her followers were impressed with her looks and showered compliments on Bravolebrity, some fans, assuming she actually went to the Oscars, had questions for Jayne.

“What movie were you in?” someone asked. “Anyone can be invited to Oscars these days,” wrote another. “Why? Who would invite you?” asked another person. “Why?????” someone questioned.

“Why would she be there???” someone else commented. Another commenter asked: “Just asking for a friend how do you get invited to the Oscars?” What is your purpose or platform?”

It also raised many questions on social media threads including Facebook and Reddit. “Why was she there? She’s not a celebrity,” someone wrote. One RHOBH fan explained for others, “As far as I know she wasn’t at the Oscars but at Elton John’s after party.”

One Facebook commenter wrote: “WTF? Why should she be there? Oscars have become a joke.” Another question was, “Why would she go? I thought Oscars were invitation only.” “Why is she going?” asked another. “Was she into something I don’t know about?”

Someone slammed the singer, “She’s a joke.” When asked another similar question, someone said, “Wow, how did she get an invite?”

Several other RHOBH stars attended the same event and shared photos of their appearance

Many other Bravo stars attended Elton John’s event and shared photos of their outfits. Although many of Jayne’s RHOBH co-stars attended the viewing party, it didn’t appear that Lisa Rinna or Sutton Stracke were in attendance.

Kung-Minkoff shared a series of photos showing several of the stars in attendance:

Kemsley shared a few photos of her hair and outfit on Instagram:

Jenkins posted a photo with her RHOBH co-stars and wrote the caption: “Thank you lovely ladies for coming and supporting me and @drinkneuro and @ejaf in raising money for this important cause. Proud to say @ejaf raised $8.5 million last night. Well done @davidfurnish, @eltonjohn and everyone else who worked hard on this amazing event and thanks to everyone who donated money and showed up in costume.”

Jayne replied in the comments: “Thanks Diana!!! This was such a fun evening for an important cause!!! You are an inspiration to all of us.”
