Erin Krakow puts an end to rumors about her co-star

As fans eagerly await the Season 10 premiere of Hallmark Channel’s hit series When Calls the Heart, Erin Krakow wants fans to know that in Hope Valley, the fictional town where the drama is set, everything is in is okay.

Fans have been excited online for the past few days over rumors of possible casting changes and storylines. On March 14, 2023, Hallmark’s release of “Key Art,” which looks like a movie poster, had fans discussing the secret meaning of certain design elements, including what some believed was a tear running down Kraków’s face.

The actress took to her Instagram comments to address specific fan concerns about her co-star Chris McNally, who plays her new fiancé on the show, assuring fans that he will be back for the new season, which premieres July 30 premiered will be back. Meanwhile, one of her former love interests on the show has confirmed that he has moved on to a new series.

Erin Krakow ends co-star Chris McNally exit rumors

When Kraków shared the poster image for Season 10 on Instagram and shared the tagline, “Good things come to those who hope,” Hearties — the nickname for the show’s die-hard fans — were quick to post their predictions of what it might announce. The poster only features Krakow, who plays the main character Elizabeth Thatcher Thornton, with the iconic Hope Valley church and landscape transferred into her hair. Some fans worried that the light reflected on her face was a tear, indicating more sadness for her widowed character.

In the Ninth season finale, After Lucas Bouchard – played by McNally – left town to clear his head, he proposed to Elizabeth with the help of their little boy Jack, named after her late husband Jack Thornton, played by Daniel Lissing, until his character in the season 5 died in a mining accident. However, some hearties expressed concern that Lucas was not on the poster and Elizabeth looks so thoughtful, possibly portending trouble ahead.

Commenting on Kraków’s post, one fan wrote: “The mood on the poster is lovely and so is Elizabeth. I think this is the first time Lucas hasn’t been on the poster since he’s appeared on the show.”

That prompted another fan to reply, “That’s what worries me… @chrismcnally… it’s been shut out of everything. I have a bad feeling… it’s going to be a big disappointment.”

One fan decided to ask Krakow directly about the swirling rumors that McNally, who hasn’t posted anything about season 10 on his own social media feeds, may be leaving the show, resulting in Lucas breaking Elizabeth’s heart.

The fan wrote: “Question: Talking online about Chris McNally leaving the show… is that true? Claims based on his lack of interaction/promotion of anything WCTH, lack of new Lucas in promotional content and complete MIA during filming!”

Krakow jumped into her Instagram comments to put an end to the rumours.

She wrote: “👋🏼 @chrismcnally is not leaving @wcth_tv and as we shared many scenes together I can tell you that he was definitely not MIA during filming. I’m sure there will be more from/from all your favorite characters/actors as we get closer to our premiere date. 😊”

Former ‘WCTH’ star Marcus Rosner joins the new Hallmark series

A former love interest of Elizabeth’s on “WCTH” who will not be returning to the show is Charles Kensington, played by Marcus Rosner, who left the show after the second season. His character was a longtime friend of Elizabeth’s, but things took a turn when he confessed his love for her despite being in a relationship with Jack, played by Daniel Lissing.

When Elizabeth turned Charles down, he left Hope Valley heartbroken and has not appeared on the show since. And he’s unlikely to return as Rosner has joined the cast of Hallmark Channel’s new series “Ride,” which premieres March 26.

Set in the fictional town of Canyon, Colorado, the show centers on the McMurray family, who have deep roots in local ranching and the rodeo circus. According to TV Insider. On March 15, Rosner posted a photo of himself as Austin McMurray, the family’s eldest son and rodeo champion, whom he called “The Tom Brady of Bull Riding” in his post.

On March 11 Rosner shared with British website Express that he has fond memories of working with Krakow on WTCH.

“Erin was the main character I shared scenes with back in the second season of this long-running show,” Rosner said. “She kind of had this great leadership quality, she was just a wonderfully calm, confident person who led with kindness. When you’re the star of the show, you have a lot of power, especially in the atmosphere on set. She just dictated such a great atmosphere and I always appreciated that.”

The 10th season of “WCTH” starts on July 30th and Hallmark has already announced that there will also be an 11th season in 2024.
