The music in a film or TV show can often decide the end product, as the choice of songs can add just the right feel to each scene.

That’s hugely important for Amazon Prime Video’s latest series, Outer Ranger, as the show uses many country and classic rock tracks in every episode.

Outer Range galloped on Amazon Prime Video on Friday April 15, 2022.

Starring Josh Brolin, the stunning series tells the story of Royal Abbott, a rancher struggling to make a living while neighboring Tillerson Ranch gambles for his land.

As the series begins, Abbott and his family deal with the disappearance of daughter-in-law Rebecca, and things take an unexpected turn when a drifter named Autumn arrives in town.

The newcomer’s appearance coincides with an early death that rocks the community and sets in motion a chain of events, culminating in the appearance of a mysterious circular void in one of Abbott’s pastures.

A western series at heart, Outer Range is packed with plenty of country songs as well as a variety of classic rock tracks, including from the likes of Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan and The Rolling Stones.

More songs will be added as new episodes air. After the series released on April 15th, two new episodes will arrive each week until May 6th.
