After a three-year release gap, fans have rejoiced stranger things is finally back for a new series!
The fourth season was released on Netflix today, May 27th, and is divided into two volumes.
Volume One, containing seven episodes, is now fully available.
Volume Two, which will contain the final two episodes of the series, will be available from July 1st this year.
But the older the kids got, the darker the series got. Series 4 is said to be the cruellest season yet.

Stranger Things Series 4 Volume 1: Who’s Still Alive?
Things don’t look good for some of the characters from the start.
Max was attacked by the new monster Vecna.
Steve, the babysitter, swims to the bottom of a lake to rescue a new character and is sucked in by a gate to the Upside Down.
And Nancy, Steve’s former girlfriend, was captured by the Vecna.
However, it looks like everyone is alive!
The group manages to work together using the power of music to save Max. Steve is saved by Nancy, Robin and Eddie.
In fact, Nancy isn’t safe just yet, and Volume 1 ends with her in grave danger. As it stands, however, she is not dead.
By the end of Series 4 Volume 1, none of the main fan favorites in Stranger Things are dead.

Stranger Things Series 4 Volume 1: Who Dies
So who dies in stranger things Season 4?
Again some serious spoilers here.
There are four recent deaths in total stranger things S4 V1. There are also a few flashbacks showing some of the deaths from back then.
Flashbacks include Hawkins Lab in 1979, where there were multiple victims, and Virginia and Alice Creel, both of whom were murdered by Vecna.
However, the first real-time death is Chrissy Cunningham. She is killed by, you guessed it, the Vecna.
Following in their footsteps is a geeky high school kid named Fred Benson, who also succumbs to the Vecna.
The Vecna snags his final kill from Volume 1 in basketballer Patrick McKinney.
The only non-Vecna kill is an agent, Mr. Harmon, who is assigned to oversee Jonathon, Mike, and Will. He is unexpectedly killed by the army looking for Eleven.

If you’ve already snapped through Volume 1, you’ll have to wait a few more weeks.
Therefore, there are no rumors or official news about what will happen to the cast in the second volume.
