FAA selects airport for 5G buffer zone

US aviation safety regulators have selected dozens of airports that will have buffer zones to help avoid expected flight disruptions after the new 5G wireless service becomes operational later this month.
The 50 airports selected by the Federal Aviation Administration on Friday include hubs for major US passenger airlines such as Chicago’s O’Hare International and Dallas Love Field. These also include airports prone to fog and clouds, such as San Francisco International and Seattle-Tacoma International.
