Dancing With the Stars fans want Ezra Sosa promoted

Some fans are begging “Dancing With the Stars” to promote troupe member Ezra Sosa to a full-time position as a professional dancer for the show’s upcoming season of ballroom dancing competition.

In a Reddit threadasked a fan if others thought Sosa would be promoted ahead of the show’s upcoming season.

“I’d love for Ezra to do the pro cast, but I think they’ll have fewer couples on the show next season because of the commercials.” one person wrote. However, it has not been announced that there will be commercials in the upcoming season of the show.

Another person commented, “I would like to, but I have my doubts.”

“It would be nice to have some younger professionals for the younger competitors. Ie Ezra and Alexis [Warr]” another person wrote.

Some fans on Twitter think Sosa should also be promoted.

Professional dancers won’t know if they’re being asked to appear on “Dancing With the Stars” until the air date gets closer. Sometimes the cast changes up to a week before production begins, so fans may not know if Sosa is a member of the new cast until close to the start of airing.

Ezra Sosa helped professional dancer Britt Stewart choreograph for a cruise line

In a now expired Instagram Story, Sosa thanked professional dancer Britt Stewart for allowing her to help choreograph a routine for Regent Cruise Line. Stewart began working with the company in 2020 prior to the launch of her ship, The Splendor.

Sosa and Stewart were also both dancers on the Dancing With the Stars live tour in 2023. Sosa was the swing, which meant he would fill in when another dancer had to sit out.

Sosa first joined Dancing With the Stars as a member of the troupe when it returned for the show’s 30th season. He was also a key member of the squad for season 31 of Dancing With the Stars.

Ezra Sosa is best friends with Dancing With the Stars runner-up JoJo Siwa

In a Valentine’s Day post JoJo Siwa revealed that her valentine for the year was to Sosa, who is also her best friend.

“I didn’t have a late night Valentine’s Day when bestie Westie texted Ezra… everyone needs someone in their life to cry, laugh and be themselves with,” Siwa wrote in the Instagram post. “Besides my family, ez is that person for me. My everyday Valentine’s Day for the rest of our lives. He’s going to kill me for posting this picture from last year’s tour, but I had to. Ez is my most supportive in everything I do… other than my kiss, he rated it a 2/10, but he still asked me to be his valentine. Happy Valentine’s Day from your favorite gays!!”

Sosa and Siwa became close friends after they were both cast in season 30 of Dancing With the Stars. After the season, Sosa joined Siwa’s live tour as a professional dancer and they have been close ever since.

Dancing With the Stars is slated to return to Disney+ in fall 2023.
