Fans are wondering if a pro and her season 31 partner don’t have the best of relationships.

Some Dancing With the Stars fans are convinced – if a little concerned – that a season 31 competitor has fallen out with his pro partner.

Witney Carson and Wayne Brady have been bracing themselves for the semifinals since their first ballroom appearance together. They seem to have great chemistry when they dance and Carson does a great job preparing Brady for his dances every week, but some fans think there’s something going on between the two.

Chatter picked up steam ahead of ’90s Week when fans noticed that Brady appeared alone in some of the promo shots shared on Instagram Stories on the official DWTS Instagram account. From there, a Reddit thread took shape and fans pondered what might be going on between Carson and Brady.

Here’s what you need to know:

Several fans think the “vibe” between Carson & Brady is off

Carson and Brady were one of the teams to beat, but as they get closer to winning the Mirrorball Trophy, fans notice a pause.

“Does anyone think it’s weird that he was writing stories by himself today while answering questions? Something about their partnership doesn’t seem right, but maybe it’s just because Witney is busy being a mom etc this season,” said one Redditor wroteopen a new thread.

“Yes, something is odd about their partnership…the random miscommunication where they ended up in Cabo and it was never mentioned again, they never advertised them together (unusual for joke) and now he’s writing stories by himself. I’m sorry but it’s strange. I have a feeling they don’t swing,” someone else added.

“Something is wrong with them… and I went into this season thinking Wayne and Whitney would win, but I’m starting to think Wayne is going to be a shocking Elim or a 4th place finish now. Something is missing and while he came out swinging, Gabby and Shangela are starting to overtake him in the rankings, for me now,” a third person weighed in.

“She doesn’t post anything about him or the show. Something is definitely wrong. Such a bummer because it affected their performance” echoed a quarter.

in the an interview with Entertainment Tonight CanadaCarson and Brady both said they were “feeling good” ahead of the semifinals, which kick off on Monday, November 14, 2022.

“I won’t lie. Physically, I’m done,” Brady said when asked how he was feeling “both mentally” and “physically.” Carson watched with a kind of blank stare.

“Poor joke looks so sad,” said one Redditor commented in a thread specifically about the ET interview.

“She really doesn’t like him,” someone else said.

Brady went on to say that he “worked with someone who wanted it just as much — if not more” than he did. When Carson was asked what surprised her most about working with Brady on the show, she replied, “How busy he is.” She went on to call him “legitimate” and said that he was extremely talented.

Brady then said he was “the happiest guy in the competition” to be working with Carson.

And while some fans aren’t too sure Brady and Carson will make it to the finals, there are still predictions – including this one from Parade — suggesting Brady could win the season.
