“There’s no official decision on who will host next season, but it doesn’t look like Tyra is returning. Which would be a decision of the network, not their decision,” a source said said the sun. The report has not been confirmed by Disney+, the Dancing With the Stars showrunners, or Banks himself.

The official DWTS Facebook page updates their cover photo

On April 8, 2022, the same day the Disney+ announcement was made, the official DWTS Facebook page has made a change. Whoever runs the social media account changed the page’s cover photo to remove the ABC logo.

However, the photo still shows Tyra Banks, suggesting that she is still part of the series. The image isn’t new, it’s an older image of the supermodel from a shoot from a previous season. After the change was made, fans went to a Reddit thread to discuss.

“Ugh…I was hoping we would get a new host…don’t hate her like some people do but she just isn’t good at live hostinv.” [sic]” one person wrote.

“It’s the same photo as before. You just removed the abc/Hulu logo. And before that, they altered the same photo to remove ‘Montage’ from the image once the season was over.” someone else pointed it out.

“They just change things as they are announced. I don’t think it means anything at this point.” third comment read.

“God damn… nobody wants her to be a hostess.” added a fourth Redditor.

That official DWTS website still lists Banks as a host even though the network change has been made.

Many DWTS fans are hoping that Banks will not host

When producers made the decision in July 2020 to replace longtime DWTS host Tom Bergeron and his co-host Erin Andrews, many fans were shocked. Many had become huge fans of Bergeron, who was a big part of the show for several seasons.

Fans had a mixed reaction to the news that Banks would replace Bergeron if that were the case confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter. Since then, many fans have asked for Banks to be fired from her hosting duties, as many don’t think she’s doing a great job.

When the official DWTS Facebook page uploaded a new cover photo, several fans responded with the angry face emoji. There are only two comments on the post, but both are about banks.

“New channel should mean new host,” one person commented.

“I thought she was leaving,” added another.

Fans will likely keep a close eye on the page for further updates and/or changes.
