Fans react to Teresa Giudice’s tribute to Raquel Welch

Raquel Welch died on February 15, 2023 at the age of 82. Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice paid tribute to the late actress in a Feb. 16 Instagram post. The upload contained two side-by-side photos. The first picture showed Welch’s character Loana from the film One Million Years BC, which premiered in 1966. In the second image, Giudice recreated Loana’s pose and costume for a magazine photo shoot.

“Growing up, Raquel Welch was such a beautiful and iconic woman to me (and everyone else on the planet). Coming from humble beginnings, when I was a little girl I never dreamed that I would have the privilege and honor of creating this amazing painting from “A Million Years B.C.” Rest in peace to a true icon, Ms. Raquel Welch❤️❤️❤️,” the post’s caption reads.

Several fans flocked to the comments section to say they appreciated Giudice’s tribute.

“What a tribute❤️🔥❤️,” she wrote an Instagram user.

“This is beautiful ❤️”, another shared.

“Very nice tribute! ❤️”, a third person intervened.

However, some commenters revealed that they had issues with the Instagram post.

“I understand what you’re trying to do, but it comes off the wrong way. You did this about yourself instead of her.” wrote one commenter.

“It’s so tasteless. 100% opportunistic and disrespectful,” added another.

“Maybe post it in a few weeks, but not the day after she dies. You should be ashamed” commented another person.

“Oh God! Why post a picture of you?…no comparison…why can’t you just say something about her! 🤦🏻‍♀️. You are a real piece of work!” said one social media user.

Teresa Giudice has opened up about her feud with her brother Joe Gorga

The thirteenth season of RHONJ premiered on February 7, 2023. In season 13, viewers will learn more about why Giudice fell out with her brother Joe Gorga and his wife Melissa Gorga. As fans know, the couple didn’t attend the August 2022 wedding of Giudice and her husband Luis “Louie” Ruelas.

When speaking to E! News in February 2023, the Skinny Italian writer shared that her feud with the Gorgas was “really hurtful.” She also hinted that she’s not focused on reconciling with the couple.

“I’m working on myself, you know, I’m just worried about myself and my family and I just need time to heal,” Giudice said.

Giudice shared similar comments about her ongoing troubles with the Gorgas in an extra interview in February 2023. She revealed she doesn’t think she can fix her relationship with Joe and Melissa “at the moment.”

“This season has been very, very emotional for me and if you look at the season you will see that of course there are a lot of ups and downs this season but right now I have to heal myself. As I really do, I really need to heal myself. And I need to be with people who are happy for me,” Giudice said.

The mother-of-four went on to say that she is “focused on [herself]’, her mental health and her family.
