Former “Vanderpump Rules” star Jax Taylor left the hit Bravo series after its eighth season, which premiered in 2020. On March 17, the 42-year-old took to his Instagram Stories to share an uncredited quote about childhood.

“If you grew up in Bologna, drank Pepsi, played in the dirt, spanked your butt, had 3 TV channels and had an outside antenna, started school with ‘The Pledge,’ had a bedtime, drove behind pickups, recorded songs up on the radio with cassettes, drank out of a hose, played in the creek, said sir and ma’am… and you still turned out OK, you say damn right,” the post reads.

Taylor added a 100 emoji to his Instagram story.

Reddit users have reacted to Jax Taylor’s Instagram story

On March 17, 2022, a Reddit user shared a screenshot of Taylor’s Instagram story with the caption, “Were you okay though? Do you have?” on the Vanderpump Rules subreddit..

Several commenters took the time to share their thoughts on Taylor’s upload.

“These kinds of posts are so damn ridiculous, even if they’re posted by people who aren’t jax, because posting something like that implies thinking their childhood was superior to anyone else’s. The only reason one might think that is because their minds are closed to the other types of VALID experiences they are having in the world. I grew up in the 90’s playing old video games but mostly played outside on my bike, skates, rollerblades, scooters etc but I don’t go around claiming that MY experience is better than anyone else’s. WTF,” wrote a Reddit user.

“His brain is just a constant loop of ‘Only ’80s kids remember this’ memes,” he added Another.

“He flinches,” he commented a Bravo fan.

Quite a few Reddit users also shared that they didn’t think Taylor “got good.”

“If you grew up in Bologna, drank Pepsi, played in the dirt, spanked your butt, had 3 TV channels and had an outside antenna, started school with ‘The Pledge,’ had a bedtime, drove behind pickups, recorded songs up from the radio with cassettes, drank from a hose, played in the creek, said sir and ma’am… and you still turn out to be a malignant narcissist, say ‘I’m a work in progress!’Don’t worry Jason I fixed it for you!!!” wrote a commenter.

“Jax is the opposite of who I think of when I think about being fine,” he said a different person.

“Um, the fact that he thinks he’s been fine… Sir lmao you’re delusional,” he added a Vanderpump Rules fan.

“The only people I know who post this type of shit are people who are definitely not okay‘ interjected another commenter.
