The singer announced the release date of his long-awaited studio album Mr. Morale & the big steppers – May 13, 2022.

The announcement was made through its website Okalama.coma name he’s been teasing his followers with for some time.

Since the rapper’s announcement, a few interesting theories have surfaced about it. One such theory claims Oklama is Kendrick’s alter ego.

The Oklama name has been in the minds of fans for a long time. You first heard it last year when he announced his album with a link to his website.

The official site consists of two folders – one is a note from the rapper detailing his return to music, and the second contains a statement on the release of his fifth studio album.

That Explanation reads: “The following statement was released today by Oklama through its pgLang company at 11:00 am PT in Los Angeles, CA.

In response to Kendrick’s new album, a fan tweeted: “Reminds me of Bob Marley & The Wailers and a lot of reggae bands. Oklama is K Dot’s reggae alter ego and he is Mr. Morale. That’s my prediction.”

“I have a strong feeling that this new Kendrick Lamar album will focus on a story told from the point of view of the ‘Oklama’ character rather than Kendrick himself… He could join the ranks of MF Doom & Eminem and release a classic album narrated from his age – first person perspective”, predicted Another.
