“American Idol” Fan and judges’ favorite Alejandro “Scarypoolparty” Aranda has postponed the remainder of his “Unplugged” tour dates just weeks after he opened up about the possibility of stepping away from music.

“Unfortunately we are postponing the remaining unplugged tour dates,” he wrote on Instagram. “Contact your point of sale for more information. I promise to be back on the road very soon.”

The singer-songwriter also posted about the postponement on his Instagram Stories.

“I know today was bad news for the shows,” he wrote. “But I just wanted to say that @cody.dear and @maxmusic put a smile on my face.”

He added that he would be returning to Los Angeles, but hoped to tour the East Coast “very soon.”

Aranda considers leaving music altogether

In a now-deleted tweet, Aranda shared that he was considering leaving the music industry.

“Sometimes I feel like my opportunity to be a full-time musician/artist is dwindling,” he wrote at the time. “Maybe it’s time to reconsider your music career. Maybe go to cooking school or try to open a coffee shop! Who knows!! Legit to only have thoughts late at night.”

Aranda has been open about his struggles with touring in the past. In December 2019 he apologized to fans via Twitter after the cancellation of a show in London.

“I deal with a lot of sleep deprivation and I can’t put it off because it’s really affecting my health now,” he said at the time. “Coming after ‘American Idol’, having sold out my first tour and just back from a fall tour and recording an album, I couldn’t ask for more from a dream come true. But honestly I need to get help and find a better way to heal.”

Fans are worried about Aranda

Fans took to the Instagram comments to offer their support and share their concerns for Aranda.

“Hope you are well! send love”, one person wrote.

Another commented“Hope you’re all right.”

Others said they sent congratulations to the artist.

“I send you a dear brother. You are awesome. But you don’t owe anyone anything. Just do it. We’ll be here anyway.” commented one fan.

Aranda released a new album in 2021

Alejandro Aranda released his latest album entitled The act of forgiveness in 2021, and the album features 21 new tracks by the artist.

“I went into the studio with the mindset that I wanted to make a new record,” he shared with Relix in August 2021 about his album.

“I just experienced being in the studio recording music,” he shared. “A lot of these ideas came from great sounds on this piano. It was such a great experience.”

Later in the interview, Aranda said he’s also okay with fans choosing different songs on the album instead of listening straight through.

“There’s something for everyone on the album,” he shared. “As I wrote it, I created it in the moment. How I would listen to it is like a vinyl double album: side one, let it play; Page two, let it run. I would love it if people listened through it like that. Like a record on a turntable.”
