Sophia Abraham, 13, made a TikTok video saying she was doing a giveaway.

“Teen Mom” alum Farrah Abraham Faced backlash after her 13-year-old daughter Sophia created a “giveaway” on TikTok. The teenager promised her followers that they could win a dozen black roses and a teddy bear if they privately messaged her on Instagram.

“Enter the competition with one of your friends now! only subscribe on Instagram – winners will be announced on 14.09. Sophia wrote.

Abraham, 31, cheered for Sophia in the comments section. “I hope Alex wins! See you in the subscribers area 🙌,” she said via Instagram.

Sophia first launched her subscription service in August so she could better “connect” with her fans and weed out negativity.

“Subscribe to help me see your messages and let me know all the fun things to share on a private subscription!” She said. “Happy to have a more positive subscription section to keep negativity out on Instagram.”

Heavy reached out to Abraham for comment on Sophia’s giveaway, but didn’t immediately hear a response.

Viewers were concerned about Sophia’s promo

Fans on Reddit were concerned about the giveaway, and some people blamed Abraham for allowing Sophia to create one.

“Why does 13-year-old Sophia have a paid-subscribers-only group where she does giveaways and private messages?!” an original poster wrote on Reddit. “Is that legal? She’s not a celebrity. She is a child!”

“What’s next just fans? It’s a shame and her mother should lose custody. Nothing good can come of it. It’s very sad,” one fan said said.

“It really looks like Farrah is holding this girl and it’s disgusting. What a sad excuse for a mother,” another written.

Not everyone opposed what Abraham allowed Sophia to do. Some people compared it to the modern way for teenagers to make money babysitting.

“She’s trying to become a celebrity through social media. A lot of kids her age do that.” they write. “Small IG follower crowd, small freebies and small promotions. That is normal.”

Michael Abraham defended Sophia against bullies

Abraham’s father, Michael Abraham, took to the comments section on TikTok to defend his daughter against naysayers online.

“You could be so pretty. if you would do something to yourself,” said the social media user.

“Why should I bully my granddaughter?” Michael Abraham wrote. “In fact, she’s accomplished more in her short life than most adults… Don’t underestimate my granddaughter.”

Another person said she has no friends and appeared to be referring to attending Sophia’s giveaway with another social media user, but Michael Abraham took that comment as minor against Sophia.

“Quit your BS…my granddaughter has friends…stop your harassment and lies,” he wrote.

Abraham said that after a brief reprisal on Teen Mom: Family Reunion, she would not be returning to Teen Mom. But as the “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter” chatter brewed, Abraham shared a 2020 interview with In Touch Weekly in which she said she was interested in discussing a return.

“I think adult conversations would be great,” Abraham said In contact in July 2020. “I mean, I’d even be open to doing a special for Teen Mom, you know, and having all these conversations with everyone. Maybe I’ll suggest that, but I don’t know when they will be back [filming].”

To find out what happens next, don’t miss “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter” when it airs Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET on MTV.
