FFXIV Patch 6.5 Part 1 Growing Light release date set

Square Enix announced the beginning of the end Final Fantasy XIV Endwalkerwith the revelation of the FFXIV Patch 6.5 Part 1 Growing Light release date. As announced in the Producer’s Letter Live at Tokyo Game Show 2023, players won’t have to wait long to see the first half of the final main scenario patch for the fifth MMO expansion. FFXIV Patch 6.5 Part 1 Growing Light will be released on Tuesday, October 3, 2023.

This is just the first half of the patch, the second half is scheduled to release sometime in mid-January 2024. Only the first half of the main scenario quests will be available when Part 1 Growing Light releases, but that will contain quite a bit of the content.

Players can continue the story, including a brief return to the Crystarium in Part One Shadowbringer, as seen in the new trailer. Additionally, The Lunar Subterrane requires players to complete a new dungeon. This culminates in a brand new trial version called The Abyssal Fracture, which also includes an Extreme version.

Outside the main story, there is additional content including the following:

  • Myths of the Empire Part 3 Thaleia: Last Alliance raid in Endwalker Series.
  • Aloalo Island: New variant and criteria dungeons
  • The Singularity Reactor (Unreal): New Unreal trial version for Thordan
  • Duty support for the last three Stormblood Dungeon
  • Stormblood Join the free trial of the game at no additional cost
  • Margrat Custom Delivery
  • Contents of the New Island Sanctuary

Part 2 in January 2024 will include more MSQ, Tataru’s Grand Endeavour, Somehow Further Hildibrand Adventures and more.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for PS4, PS5 and PC. It will also be released for Xbox Series X in spring 2024. The release date for FFXIV Patch 6.5 Part 1 Growing Light is October 3, 2023.
