Firefighters were called after a car burst into flames this afternoon, Friday (December 16).
Firefighters put out the fire on Prescot Road just before 2.30pm today.
According to the fire brigade and rescue service, the fire is said to have started by accident.

A spokeswoman said: “Merseyside Fire and Rescue Services were called to Prescot Road, St Helens on Friday 16 December.
“The crews were alerted at 2:14 p.m. and were on site at 2:21 p.m. A fire engine was present. Merseyside Police were also present.
“Upon arrival, emergency services found a vehicle that had caught fire.
“Firefighters with breathing apparatus extinguished the fire with a high-pressure hose reel.
“The fire is believed to have started accidentally.
“The fire department left the scene at 2:44 p.m.”
