Florida Bill to End Disney’s Special Tax District goes to Gov. DeSantis for signature

The Florida legislature has finally approved a bill that would end a special tax district allowing Walt Disney to govern the country where its theme parks are located, escalating a weeks-long dispute with Disney about his public opposition to a Florida law restricting the teaching of gender and sexuality in the classroom.

The measure now goes to the Republican governor. Ron DeSantiswho made it clear that he would sign it.
