Sean Charles Greer, who is charged in the Florida murders of two children, rioted during his first court appearance on Wednesday, demanding that authorities remove him from the courtroom.
Greer, 27, faces a number of charges, including two counts of leaving the scene of a fatal crash in the deaths of Andrea Fleming, 6, and Kylie Jones, 5, in a car crash Monday at Wilton Manors, a suburb of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
At Wednesday’s hearing, authorities had to take Greer away after he allegedly refused to participate in the proceedings.
During the video-recorded hearing, someone told Judge Joseph Murphy, “In your honor, he walked away. He didn’t want to go back before the judge.”
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office said Greer was trying to pass a Broward County Transportation Company bus in his 2009 Honda Accord when he pulled over to the sidewalk where several children were gathering. practice. In addition to the two deaths, four other people had to go to a nearby hospital after the incident.
After the collision, authorities said, Greer drove away, with his bumper falling off at the scene. Authorities said they were finally able to find his abandoned vehicle by comparing the damage – including the lost bumper – with the scene of the crash. The sheriff’s office said Greer confessed after being arrested Tuesday.

“We seemed to have lost him for a moment,” Judge Joseph Murphy said during the videotaped hearing.
The judge ordered Greer to be kept without bail for two probation violations. He was also ordered to appear before a judge for one of the violations on Thursday morning.
The court-appointed publicity defender said Greer suffers from asthma, depression and insomnia, South Florida SunSentinel report.
According to prosecutors, Greer’s Florida driver’s license had been suspended since 2016. He had also been previously arrested in connection with marijuana possession, petty theft and driving with a suspended license. , dating from 2013.
Fleming and Jones died at the scene of the crash. Draya Fleming, Laziyah Stokes, Johnathan Carter and Audre Fleming were injured and taken to Broward Health Medical Center.
