Florida teen stabs mom and hits her with frying pan

A 17-year-old Florida teenager has now been charged with attempted murder after stabbing his mother multiple times. And hit her in the face with a frying pan, as reported by WESH.

The teenager’s identity was initially withheld as he was underage. However, it has since been revealed that his case has been referred to an adult court, as reported by Fox 35 Orlando.

The teenager led authorities on a high-speed chase

Corresponding WESHPolice arrived at the scene and were informed of the teenager’s actions by his mother. A police report said that “the victim took a breath and explained that (her son) did this.”

The report also states that a male friend of the teenager tried to stop the attack on the mother. He was unsuccessful and the suspect then fled the scene in his mother’s car.

Corresponding WESH, the male friend and another teenager followed the suspect. The police were also able to locate the 17-year-old by pinging his cell phone.

When authorities arrived at the suspect’s location, he led them on a high-speed chase through several Florida counties. Then he crashed while exiting a freeway.

The teenager was then arrested by the authorities.

The attack & the confession of the 17-year-old

Authorities have said that when questioning the suspect, he admitted to “stabbing the victim several times with a pocket knife he was carrying around”. He added that he used a frying pan and “hit the victim on the head” until the object “broke.”

In addition, the police report said the teenager texted a friend asking for a gun so he could “shoot the victim.”

Explaining why he decided to launch the attack on his mother, the 17-year-old said he was “excited because his mother kept bothering him about cleaning his room”.

The teenager was sent to a juvenile detention center on November 30, it has been reported New York Post. Corresponding Fox 35 Orlandothe mother is in critical condition.
