Former “Dancing With the Stars” contestant Nikki Bella and her twin sister Brie officially cut ties with WWE.

The twins announced the move during an episode of their Sirius XM show, also sharing that they will be using their first names, Brie and Nikki Garcia.

From now on her show will be called Sirius XM Show “The Nikki and Brie Show.”

“We’ll be 40 in November,” Nikki said as she explained why the sisters made the change, adding that it was “time to start this new chapter.”

For her part, Brie shared that she’s “so excited to close the chapter on Brie Bella… Let’s see what Brie Garcia will do next.”

Nikki and Brie will co-host a new show

The Bella Twins will host a dating show hosted by ITV Entertainment and Amazon Studios. The show is a “social dating experiment” designed to explore “love in a whole new way.”

“‘Twin Love’ is an unparalleled social dating experience that combines the peculiarities of being twins – someone who is literally born with a biological soulmate – with the universality of being single and finding lasting romantic love,” said Lauren Anderson, head of AVOD Original Content and Unscripted Programming, Amazon Studios, in a statement obtained by Heavy.

She added, “Thanks to Brie and Nikki Bella for bringing their personal experiences to this series; to our cast for their openness, playfulness, and willingness to be vulnerable; and to the unwritten team at Amazon Studios who worked on this series. Our goal is to help couples find love in a fun and unique way, and we can’t wait to share ‘Twin Love’ with Prime Video and Freevee audiences this summer.”

The twins will focus on other business endeavors

Both twins are busy with busy schedules, including entrepreneurial ventures and TV shows. Nikki joined the show “Barmeggedon” as a presenter prior to its premiere and it was renewed for a second season. She was also a judge on America’s Got Talent: Extreme.

Brie was a contestant on “The Real Dirty Dancing” on FOX.

In January 2023, Nikki premiered the special “Nikki Bella Says I Want!”, which showcased the process of planning her wedding and ultimately gave fans the chance to witness her wedding to professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev from “Dancing With the Stars.” see. The two first met while working together on the 25th season of Dancing With the Stars and they married in Paris in 2022.

Nikki and Brie first appeared on the WWE Network over a decade ago. Brie debuted on the network in August 2008, and it was later revealed that she had an identical twin. The sisters were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, per USA network.

The move comes months after Nikki apparently slammed WWE for failing to show anything from Women’s Evolution during the Raw 30 special, which it said sparked a dispute with the network slam wrestling.

“They push whoever they want the crowd to get behind them,” Nikki said on an episode of “The Sessions Podcast with Renee Young.” “This is WWE down to the smallest detail. Even if the fans think they own it, no, they’re laughing in the back. ‘No, at the end of the day you’re ours.’ So I really think Total Divas was the first thing they couldn’t control. You couldn’t control the success. They couldn’t control what was mainstream.”

Dancing With the Stars is slated to return to Disney+ in fall 2023.
