Former RHOBH star gives health update

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave gave her fans a medical update.

Accordingly, Arroyave revealed that earlier this month she had a mole checked for skin cancer on her Instagram Stories. She wrote that she was “found by the labs/doctors to have a confirmed melanoma.”

“However, I won’t know until next week (hopefully Monday) what stage it is in and what the next steps are. I’m doing my best to stay positive and grateful,” the 40-year-old shared.

The former Bravo personality revealed she had her results the skin removal on Instagram on March 22nd. In the post’s caption, she noted that the “melanoma in situ,” meaning the cancer cells were contained in that area [her] skin and have not spread any deeper!”

“I feel blessed and relieved, but also grateful to have hardworking friends and doctors to watch over me. I now have to have check ups every 3 months while always making sure to wear sunscreen (a given I know!) and protective clothing. I really hope that by sharing all of this with you I can encourage you all to get your skin checked annually. If I hadn’t gone, I don’t want to think about how things could have gone differently. Our skin is something a lot of us take for granted but I don’t anymore – and I hope you don’t either 💕” read part of the caption.

During a March 2022 episode of Arroyave’s podcast “Two Ts In A Pod” co-hosted by Tamra Judge, the former “RHOBH” personality opened up about why she decided to have her mole checked by a dermatologist. She explained that she had previously been told by a doctor that the skin abnormality was psoriasis.

“They gave me a cream to put on, so I just ignored it and noticed that the colors on my back changed from time to time, but I figured it was the sun and it was fine,” Arroyave explained.

In early March 2022, her former co-star Kyle Richards expressed concern about “those marks [her] While Arroyave was reluctant to see a doctor because of her “OCD and anxiety,” she eventually made an appointment, which Richards attended.

“The doctor looks at me, she says, yeah, that looks 100 percent melanoma, like she didn’t even have to get the tape measure out,” Arroyave said.

She went on to say she was seen by “several doctors.”

“They gave me some options, they said, ‘Listen, we can scratch it or we can cut deep and try to get as much as we can and get the best possible answer, and once we have those answers, we’re good to go there,'” the former Bravo personality recalled.

Arroyave was not asked to return to RHOBH after its tenth season, which premiered in 2020 Us Weekly in March 2022, the former Bravo star shared whether she missed being on the hit reality series. She revealed that “there are times” when she has a desire to be back on the show.

“The good news is I still see and talk to the women I’m friends with, so that’s not lacking, but it’s been a big part of my life for a long time. But I’m happier without it. But of course you miss things. It’s like that friend who didn’t treat you well but who you still think about from time to time,” Arroyave claimed.

She then shared that she may star in a scene for the upcoming season of RHOBH.

“There’s an episode I’m working on for Extra and I’m covering an event that Housewives are at, but in terms of filming the scene, it’s not in my interest to make a stop like that,” said the 40 -year old -year old.
