Former RHONJ star slams Jackie Goldschneider

“Real Housewives of New Jersey” alum Kim DePaola performed on the December 31, 2022 episode of the podcast “Behind the Velvet Rope.” moderated by David Yontef. During the taping of the podcast episode, the 61-year-old mentioned that Jackie Goldschneider became “a friend of” for RHONJ season 13 after being a main cast member for four years. She pointed out that the mother-of-four shared that she had a less significant role in the Bravo franchise because she “wasn’t sure how to balance the time commitment to the show [her eating disorder] Recreation” in a December 2022 interview with People magazine. Speaking to the publication, Goldschneider noted that Bravo “understood where [she] came out” and chose to make her a “friend of” on the show.

DePaola shared that she believed Goldschneider “didn’t want to be demoted” and claimed “she wasn’t happy” about her new position. She also claimed that the decision was not her choice. The Posche owner also stated that she believed Bravo “didn’t want to be responsible for her eating disorder.”

“[Goldschneider] had to be demoted anyway, she brought nothing to the table. She should’ve just said nothing and said, “Listen, I’m grateful to be a friend, I’m grateful for it, it’s a great platform,” that’s it. Speak the truth, stop the b*****,” said the former Bravo star.

Yontef agreed with the RHONJ alum, sharing that he believes Bravo executives wanted to put the spotlight on the show’s new cast members Danielle Cabral, 37, and Rachel Fuda, 31.

‘I think Jackie got demoted’because we’re bringing in young blood, literally young,” the podcast host said.

Jackie Goldschneider shared that she appreciated the support from the fans

During an August 2022 interview on Access Hollywood’s “Housewives Nightcap” Goldschneider acknowledged fans showed their support as rumors of her demotion surfaced. She shared that she appreciated the kind words she received as she hasn’t always been a fan favorite.

“It felt really good because I’ve had my ups and downs with the fans over the years but to see I mean nine out of ten comments were supportive so it really was – it felt so good and knowing you did a good job and people bonded with you and wanted to see you full time,” said the RHONJ personality.

Jackie Goldschneider revealed recovering from her eating disorder was difficult

In the Housewives Nightcap interview, Goldschneider gave an update on her recovery from eating disorders. The reality TV personality claimed she’s “a million times healthier than [she] was last year.” She clarified that re-establishing her “relationship with food” has been difficult.

“It’s hard for me to break some habits but I’m eating so much more and so many great foods and I work with a nutritionist and I’ve gained quite a bit of weight for myself and it’s hard for me to work around,” the RHONJ explained -Star.

Jackie Goldschneider opened up about Teresa Giudice & Melissa Gorga’s feud

While speaking to Access Hollywood in October 2022, Goldschneider spoke about the drama surrounding her castmate Teresa Giudice and her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga. She suggested she found their feud difficult to navigate as she wants to maintain her friendships with both of them.

“I want to be a good friend to Melissa, but I’ve also worked hard to have a good relationship with Teresa, so I don’t want to cause rifts unless I’m in the middle of a fight,” he explained to the mother-of-four.

The thirteenth season of RHONJ is scheduled to premiere on February 7, 2023.
