Robbie Fowler proposed The daily mirror that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool should sign Harry Kane from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.
The former Liverpool star believes Tottenham striker Kane is a bit like Roberto Firmino as he can drop deep and connect the game.
Fowler wrote The daily mirror: “United will be there for sure and that’s a bit of left field but I’ve said before that Liverpool could do worse than going for him because he has the ability to drop deep like Firmino and he does can it guarantee goals.
“So he has to ask a question: are Spurs any closer to winning trophies now? I think objectively, and without seeming to put them down, most people would say they’re further away than they were before.”
Harry Kane to Liverpool unlikely
We think it is unlikely that Kane will switch from Tottenham to Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
Now of course we all know how good the 28-year-old England striker is.
Kane is one of the best forwards in the world and he can also create chances and assists.
We have no doubt the 28-year-old would be a good fit at Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp.
However, we don’t think Liverpool will afford to sign Kane.
Or even want to.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is unlikely to accept anything less than the £150million he wanted for Kane from Manchester City last summer.
