Full Metal Panic Family will be released in January 2024

The first volume of Full Metal Panic Family will be released on January 19, 2024. This is a light novel series set twenty years after the original series and focuses on Sousuke and Kaname as they raise their children. [Thanks, KaroshiMyriad!]
Fantasia Bunko, the publisher, has called this a “shocking” new series. The book costs 748 JPY ($4.95) and will consist of 256 pages. You can pre-order it via Kadokawa. Here is the full plot summary as it appears on Kadokawa’s website:
Full metal panic is back! Here is the start of a shocking new series! About twenty years after his emotional peak, Sousuke Sagara and Kaname Chidori have evolved from high school students into real adults. And not only that…they are also a loving couple raising children together?! This is the beginning of something new Full metal panic Series that focuses on Sousuke and Kaname now that they are a family.
Shoji Gatoh, who originally wrote Full metal panicis the author. Full metal panic It originally ran from 1998 to 2011 and during this time various adaptations were created, including several anime and manga series as well as games.
The plot of Full metal panic follows Sousuke Sagara, who is secretly a member of a private anti-terror military organization. His job is to protect Kaname Chidori, who is being targeted by various organizations. Due to Sousuke’s unique past, he was unable to fit in at school, but eventually grows close with Chidori.
The sequel to Full metal panic, Full Metal Panic Familywill be released on January 19, 2024 in Japanese bookstores such as Kadokawa.
